Give the Poor and the Hopeless A Reason To Go On

Almighty God, millions are dying in Africa and even the hopelessness of poverty is on our own doorstep in Canada, and the U.S. See the mother crying because their child is dying of malnutrition. See the student in your town, city or village who could escape the vicious cycle of poverty, if people banded together and paid for their university education. The life you help change could in turn change many others. Father, help us to be there for those in need, to even be their hope for a while when they can hope no longer. Thank you for those who care for us in our hour of greatest need. Amen

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

  1. Loved this,
    a praying poem. ❤

    • God is using you to rename a title for a future book I hope to write be the good Lord willing. I was going to use the title “Prayers from the Garden”, but as I prayed to God about it the title “Prayer Poems from the Garden” came into my mind and spirit. The garden reference is to Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane.

People have been after me for years to take all the prayers I’ve written and am writing and put them into a book of prayers. A minister who knows me well and is a writer herself has said to me, “Kevin, you need to write a book of the prayers.” More and more people have been saying this. Now, the Holy Spirit has been speaking to my heart about this. The directive is clear. “Kevin, your Lord wants you writing a book of prayers.” So, in between all the kingdom work I’m doing, I will need to fit in compiling the prayers I’ve written and add more. I am getting the divine inspiration to write at least one prayer a day.

If you and others you know would like to participate in this, write to me at If they get published then of course there would be a reasonable share of the profits after at least 20% went to local and international missions work.

      Bounteous blessings!

  2. 🙂 Amen
