We shall overcome hate and indifference with love
Dear readers: I have sought God helping me to always be here for all of you. It is our call as authors on Mind’s Seat to inspire you. We seek by God’s grace to shine light and an enduring hope in Christ into your lives.
At this time my Lord has called upon me to ask for your prayers. I have already notified my pastor of the rapid decline in my health. Christ will be victorious. A respiratory bug I’ve been fighting for over three and a half months has taken a sharp downturn. I am still wheezing after a nebulization this morning.
The Enemy has been attacking Karen and I from all sides. The Prince of Liars doesn’t want people lifted from their prisons of despair and abuse. The Enemy wants you kept down living less of a life than God has called you to.
I urge you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ not to give the Enemy the victory over your soul. You are God’s own. You who know your Lord were bought with the precious blood of your saviour shed on that rugged wooden cross at Calvary.
God wants all people to live victorious lives. That is at the very heart of our collective calling as authors. It is our fervent prayer that all of you would live up to your God potential.
Too many people in my life have told me that with my health challenges I should settle for a life of revised hopes and dreams. I should accept a mediocre existence. Nowhere in the Bible I read does it make one reference to a half-committed,half-hearted life. We are all called to a life that never settles for anything less than God calls us to be.
Live life to its fullest. Don’t listen to your critics, who say you need to adjust your expectations for your life. That’s where the Enemy wants to keep you. The deceiver wants you to live more for the world than your Lord. Don’t sacrifice your principles for anyone at any time. Stand up with boldness and an unswerving conviction for what you believe in even if you face the winds of opposition in doing so.
Be ambassadors of hope to the hopeless or those who are losing their hope, who are drowning in a whirlpool of defeatist language, who don’t have the strength to get up one more time and fight.
You are called to such a time of an ever-encompassing darkness to bring others from darkness to light and from defeat to victory.
We are more than conquerors in Christ. The harbingers of hate and indifference will not win if you keep close to God’s heart, His purpose for your life.
Let us collectively set our lives on the course of a new direction where we sit down together in a spirit of agape love and brotherhood to be advocates for change in our communities and our world.
Let us fight the war on poverty, racial inequality and injustice with the beautiful minds God gave us. Let us collectively agree that one poor person in this world is one too many.
Let us overcome hatred and indifference with love. The love of God that can beat in every soul. The love that compels us to accept the status quo is unacceptable.
Lord, hear the heart cries of Your children for a more loving, more just world, where everyone is given the equal opportunity to realize their dreams of a good job and an education that will give them the tools needed to mentor others.
Gandhi says we can change the world as we are open, real and honest about where we need to change ourselves.
Be the change you want to see in your community and your world. Volunteer at a food bank. Get groceries for a person too ill to shop themselves. Bring meals to those who are too ill to cook for themselves. Join a local community group to advocate for positive change in your community.
It can be a more beautiful world if we do the hard roll up our sleeves work to work together, to pray and believe together for such a world.
Shine your light. Ease the burdens of a weary soul. And even be their hope for a while until they can hope for themselves.
Yes, my dear friends, live as conquerors whether your Lord calls you to be a missionary of the heart either in your community or abroad.
I thank God for all of you. May you all live up to your God potential as you soar like the eagle to the calling our Lord has for all of us.
