Still Waters

still waters Psalm 23

Many of us lead lives with so much noise around us.There are so many demands between career, school and our personal lives that take up our time and energy. All of us need those vital times to rest our bodies, minds and renew our spirits. I wrote this song lyric for those who struggle with hearing God speak to their hearts in those stressful times. We can know God, believe in His guiding presence and still have our doubts and fears. God understands that. He loves us through our questions. Please pray that it will be used to reach all the hearts God wants it to.

Lord, I long for Your sanctuary in my life

The noise of my life dulls my ears to Your voice

My heart is searching for its way back to You

Draw me to the still waters in You

Chorus:

Draw me to the still waters

My soul finds Your peace there

Draw me to the still waters

Bring to You every care

Lord, You hear me as I call out to You

Draw me to the still waters in You

As You hear my heart cry out to You

You say, “My sweet child, I’ll never leave you

As I was with David in his dark fear

You can cast on Me every tear.”
Chorus:

Draw me to the still waters

My soul finds Your peace there

Draw me to the still waters

Bring to You every care

Lord, You hear me as I call out to You

Draw me to the still waters in You

Lord, thank you for hearing the cry of my heart

For the assurance that You’re always with me

As I pray and read Your Word every day

I’m drawn to still waters in You

Chorus:

Draw me to the still waters

My soul finds Your peace there

Draw me to the still waters

Bring to You every care

Lord, You hear me as I call out to You

Draw me to the still waters in You

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

  1. Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog. I appreciate the like. I love Still Waters. So many of us need to hear and remember this.

    • Hi Nancy

You are performing an invaluable ministry specializing in helping women with their life goals and dealing with life’s stressors. Thank you for liking Still Waters. The message in it as in all of the songs I write I first have speak to me before anyone else. I pray that as others see the real me that it will touch their own journey. As you know from being in ministry yourself as a Life Coach, pastor and spiritual director, there are so many hurting people who need the healing balm of God’s love in their lives. They so much want to know Him more. When life’s struggles are never-ending they need to know others truly care not merely by what they say, but that it is backed up with love that is given in acts of compassion.

May the Lord pour the river of His richest blessings into all the areas of your life.

      Kevin
