Faith to carry me is all I ask

Loving Heavenly Father, thank you that You carry us when we need faith to understand

Father, give us faith to understand when life’s storms assail us

We need so desperately in this ever-darkening world to see Your Light

We pray that as we wake a song of joy will be in our hearts

There is far too much suffering in this world

Lives being dragged down to the depths of inner destruction

People trapped in their prisons of addiction and abuse

People crying out to escape from their unrelenting poverty

People searching and yet not finding You

People who live their lives in prisons of guilt and shame

People longing to hope again

All of us wanting to be carried when hope flickers like a candle

Give us a heart of compassion for the hurting

Help us to see in our questions and doubts that You are there hearing us

Our tears, our liquid prayers are the release for our troubled soul

When crisis comes help us to hold fast to Your love

The Enemy seeks to bring darkness into our hearts

To have us doubt You are truly there for us

To say all our efforts are in vain

That is when we must rejoice within because we are on the right track

It means that we are speaking Your Truth

But we are mere mortal human-beings with trust that wavers with life’s crushing blows

Our humanity will surely fail us when the lion of doubt assails us

In those times give us the strength in our weakness to prevail against the lion of doubt

In fear for our future give us the trust to see that Your Holy Spirit is guiding us

The Counselor is there to hear our pain

To listen to our cry for help

To teach us to have faith in our time of struggle

Lord, we are filled each day with those to do lists that consume us

The tasks that keep piling up in our busy lives

Give us discernment to focus only on that which is important to You

If You call us to give up a project or a mission give us willingness to do so

If You put us on the sidelines of ministry give us patience as we wait for Your call

Faith to understand when that lion of fear also seeks to bring us to destruction

Confidence in the fact that You are always there

You never leave us though we so often leave You

Slowly and surely lured into a half faith being acceptable

Living in the world more than we live in You

Faith to understand is our heart cry

Trust when we don’t know the reason why

Hope that where there is darkness You bring light

Where there are questions You will give us clarity to see through our spiritual fog

You will guide us

Watch over us

Hold us tight in Your loving arms

Help us to see our brighter tomorrow beyond the darkness of our today

Faith that is with me though the lions of doubt and fear roar

Faith that says I’ll trust when I am tossed to and fro

Faith that will love when hate seeks to destroy me

Faith that guides me in every task

Faith to carry me is all I ask

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
