Walking in Love

walk in love wih child in wheelchair

Jesus walked through wind, scorching desert, pounding rain

Listened to people in their inner pain

Told others of how new life they could gain

By His life He showed others love’s sweet refrain

That it is in forgiving others we are freed to love and laugh again

He healed the sick, helped the blind to see, made the lame to walk

That the miracles He performed were not just cheap talk

Taught us that with Him there is no black; there is no white

All are precious in His sight

He loves the disabled and the able-bodied too

He loves us all when we know not what to do, what to pray

When we know not what to say

When hope flickers, night we cannot see from day

When life’s misty fog clouds our way

Many say that there is no God

Because of all the suffering and terrorism on this earthly sod

And many Christians who give to our Father a forever nod

Who say that there is proof Christ did not rise from the grave

That faith is a flimsy human construction on shallow minds we do engrave

Father, help us by how we live our life give a reason for the faith we profess

By being willing to admit when our life is in a mess

We are real about this God we believe in, this God we confess

When life hits us hard, the crushing blows seem they will never end

We will continue to show by our life that we will never stop believing

We will call others to a new joy their hearts can be receiving

If they would just say, “Christ, come into my heart.

I want to make with You a brand new start.”

I desire to live my life as Christ did, this man of Galilee

That all would gain the Victory

Salvation’s free gift flowing from the blood Christ shed for you, for me

That in our blindness we would see

The Love that sets sin’s captive free
