We said a prayer for you today

prayer requests

We said a prayer for you today.

Just thought we would check in and ask,

“Are you okay?”

You live in a world where many are filled with hate.

They hold on to anger’s crushing weight

Say pain is the badge they have earned

Taking no time to think of love’s gift they have spurned

Could you do something today for you?

Would you be willing to give yourself this gift?

Reach out to others, hurting lives to lift

In offering your time, your heart

That’s when healing love does start

There is so much power in a smile

It says to others, “I think you’re worthwhile.”

People tell me, “Kevin, I have no gift.

I can’t sing, teach or preach.”

That’s when I pray with these words them I will reach.

“You forgot the one gift we all can give.

It’s having the willingness to forgive.”

Dear reader: Please send Karen and I your prayer requests. We will lift them before the Lord. Let us pray for one another.

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

  1. Nothing stronger than prayer

    • You said it all, brother!

May the Lord pour out the river of His richest blessings into every area of your life.

      Shalom,

      Kevin

      • Thank you. If you’re interested, I’m looking for more writers/authors to interview on the “Writer’s Lounge” section of my WP blog. I need more male writers so I can create more of a balance, right now I have 3 females & only 1 male interview, but for some reasons, the fellas aren’t as enthusiastic about being interviewed as the ladies are. There’s no charge, so let me know if you would like to participate & I’ll send you the details. Thanks.
