Lord, help us fly like the eagle
Almighty God, hear my prayer. Father, it is the prayer of my heart that You would bless all who You have brought into my life. Many of them have become worn down in their service to You. They have given until there is little or nothong left to give. They have loved without giving time to love themselves. They are in varying states of burnout. Some have become disillusioned in their service to You dealing with people who grate on them because their vision of ministry is far too narrow. They are running up against those who want to play it safe, to stay in their own comfort zones.
Pour out Your power and love upon all who give of themselves body, spirit, mind and soul. Let them feel Your love healing all the wounded places within. Hear their tears. Hear their anger.Hear their pain. Hear their doubts and their fears. Hear the terror that lives within for a world filled with more hate and indifference. Help them to see that in all they experience You are there. You are as close as the mention of Your Name. In times when they feel they must resign from their ministry position where You do not want this to happen resolve all the issues that are causing them to feel so depleted, so deeply exhausted, so filled with a seething and cancerous anger and pain that is slowly poisoning them, tearing them apart piece by piece.
The Enemy’s increasing terror in people’s lives will not win. We will stand for truth, God’s truth in a world of lies. The truth is that You love us with an everlasting love that does not fade no matter how far we fall. You lift us up. You heal the nagging hurt that we feel. You call us to drown out the noise around us You say, “Be still, feel and know that I am God.”
Father, hellp those who suffer in silence to know that they do not suffer alone. You feel every tear they shed. You hear every cry for help. You are there for those who do not feel Your active presence in their lives. Bring those who have become lost back to You. Darkness will only be defeated in people’s lives as they dare to have the courage to be people of strong faith in a world where a half faith, a modified morality, a watered down truth has become acceptable.
Help those who serve You come into their time of flying like the eagle. For those who do not know what their purpose iin life is show them. As we soak in more of You and less of the spiritual pollution of this world, we will become like the eagle. We will soar to our purpose. We will rise from the ashes of doubt, discouragement and disillusionment to know why You have put us on this earth for Your season to serve You.
Help us all to fly like the eagle.
