Father God, give us grace with every step. Let there be times in the business of our day that we think of and pray for others. Show us today how we are to love. Then, give us the strength and the vulnerability to help the hurting, listen to the lonely, give with servant hearts to the rejected, dejected and those who many judge as unlovable. Grace in every task. Grace that gives and grace that lives in our hearts, so that Your love to others we would impart. Grace that flows from the crimson blood of Christ Your Son shed for our sins at Calvary.
Grace that helps our blinded eyes to see. Grace that adds to our outstretched arms of humanity. Grace when the way we cannot see. Grace when debt is high and our spirit is low. Grace that says, “I care and from you I will not go.”
Through times of grief when our soul cannot find relief, when anger still in our spirit does lie, show us when we need to cry. Comfort us when we yell at You, when we ask why You allow the things You do. Your grace allows us to be open, to be real about the things we feel.
Lead us from despair to peace, from hopelessness to hope, from our questions and our doubts to teach others what Your grace is all about. It means we don’t have to have all the answers. We only need to say, “I don’t know why you are going through what you are, but for you I will take time to pray. I’ll be with you through your rough time until you can see hope, until you can see the light, until you see the grace that brought you from night to day, the grace that is with you all the way.” That’s the grace in me I do feel. That’s the grace which is really real. That’s the grace the darkness can never steal. Amen.
