Why we are here?
I feel and know faith is believing in that which yet has not been manifested in our lives. Faith is that quiet courage that gets up the next day regardless of the Enemy’s attacks and says, “Lord, I will fight again. I am more than a conqueror in Christ. Darkness will not win.” Christ has and will continue to change our lives, make us more into the imageo Deo, the image of God shown in our character and our conduct.
Your victory and mine is in the Cross. Oh, such a beautiful Christ You be. Help me, Lord, to draw others the path of Your love to see. When I don’t know the reason why I will trust in You, Father Adonai. No matter what arrows the Enemy throws at me, I will teach others Your love is with them though they think it is not. Your love conquers our fear. Your love is what we all need.
It is because You love us You sent Your Son, Your one and only Son, for us to bleed. To die upon that rugged wooden cross, ‘tis the emblem of our suffering and our shame, To die for our sins both spoken and unspoken You came. To heal the sick and help the blind in body and spirit to see Your love for us is free.
Such a high price Your Son did pay, so we could see the way. The path of love for all to see. The walk of grace with the you and the me. Oh, help our blinded eyes to see You are with us in times of hardship, in times of doubt. In our questions You hear us call out to You. We cry out for more of You in our life. More of You in every moment we are here. More of You in times of weariness of body and spirit.
Oh, Father, do we hear it? Do we see it? Do we feel it? Do we see the path of love dark or is it clear? Do we know why we are here?
We are here to love You. We are here to serve You. We are here to praise You. We are here to worship You. We are here to call others to Your love. We are here to teach what Your love means. We are here to listen to the pain of the abused. We are here to offer a cup of hot coffee in Your holy Name. We are here to comfort the afflicted. We are here to help heal the addicted.
We are here to bring others out of poverty of body and spirit.
We are here to touch lives with the living letter of our life.
We are here to disciple others.
We are here to show Your love not just with our words, but with our actions.
Father, help us to live the reason why we are here. Amen.
