Take time with Me to Pray

people praying by cross

Take time each day with Me to pray

To pause before you begin your day

To think of Me in silent and spoken prayer

Feeling I’ll be there

Knowing I really do care

Are you hurting and feeling blue?

You don’t know what to do

The bills they are high

Your spirit is low

Your life is filled with stress

Your life is in a mess

Your job leaves little time for rest

You’re burnt out

Life isn’t fun anymore

People have been to you unkind

No peace for your troubled mind

Your boss is piling work upon you

With your wife you’ve had a quarrel

You can’t see a brighter tomorrow

You have children who won’t talk to you

You have a son, a daughter, brother, sister, who has abandoned you

A family member, friend or colleague to alcohol and/or drugs is addicted

You have been abused physically, sexually or emotionally

You are poor

You can’t see an open door

You are addicted

Can’t stand the stabbing pain of by drugs beng afflicted

Can I suggest this heavenly prescription?

Take time with Me to pray

It may not solve your problems

But this I know it will do

You’ll be given strength to see you through

Perhaps, you’ll also be given some direction

So life becomes more joyful than you expected

Because with heavenly peace you’re infected

So you can spread a message of joy

A new song in people’s hearts you and they will enjoy

All because you took time to pray

Give to Me the gift of each new day

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

  1. It is time to pray. The Kingdom requires it. We need it. The world with all its power stands against us. It is time to take up the most powerful weapon we possess and pray.
