Father, in our lives filled with be here, do that, deadlines, help us to understand the importance of waiting upon You. Give us respites to turn off the to do lists in our mind and be at peace with You. Where we are lost show us Your way. Guide us in the truths You speak to our hearts that are uncomfortable, so that we would walk closer with You and grow as human-beings.
Heal the pain of our past. Heal us of the unspoken and spoken hurt from those who have harmed us by ill-spoken words and actions.
Give us the willingness to forgive those who have abused us when You say the time is right.
Oh, God, heal broken lives. Mend troubled hearts.
Pour out Your healing in every life. Whether that person is rich or poor they need love. The wealthiest person can be so alone. Material things bring fleeting pleasure like a flickering candle, glowing only for a little while before it burns out.
Heal our angry world.
Only love can conquer hate. Only love can win over terror. Only love can triumph over evil.
Father, I pray this message travels all around the world to Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Oceania.
In our times of fear we wait upon You. In the challenges of our lives, we wait upon You. In each moment we breathe, we wait upon You.
Like David waited upon You in his struggles, we wait to see what You will do in our lives today and every day.
Karen and I are assembling pieces for the following future books: Prayers from the Garden, Poems from the Garden and Reflections from Dreaming Together for a Better World. I am also writing song lyrics for a CD entitled Hymns from the Garden. A large percentage of proceeds will go towards poverty alleviation as well as local and international missions. We welcome any assistance with this from interested individuals, literary agents and publishers. Please join with us in prayer that God’s Kingdom work would be completed as I deal with the daily challenges of an extremely rare auto immune condition called mastocytosis. I can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
