A Prayer for my Pastor

pray for your pastor in all situations

Please note: While I have used he and him, you can substitute she or her if your pastor is female. Perhaps, you will be led to give it as a gift to your pastor.

Loving Heavenly Father, please be with my pastor today

Help him in all he does, think and say

Bring him the help he does need

Comfort him as he reaches out to those in sorrow

Give him words that help them see even the glimmering of a more healed tomorrow

The plan You have for them in their anger, questions and fears

Words of compassion spoken in the silence

Grant him times of rest

Time to renew and restore

When in our church there is division

Please give him Your wisdom in every decision

The path that will lead to repentance and reconciliation

Show him all the ways we are here

Helping others in their time of need

Always ready to care

Others’ burdens we do share

For them and him we’ll always be there

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Your pastor is fortunate to have you Kevin!

    • Chris, I too am blessed to have him. My pastor allows me to be real about my challenges. He believes that as I shine for Christ through them this is its own testimony. To God be the glory in everything I say and do for Him.
