PRAYING RIGHT

thtOn self, man can never pray right.

Our only lean is on the ‘right’ of Jesus.

What He said; how He taught.

Why He lived and won the cross

It would go as a song: “Our Father, who art in heaven”

The maker above, the ruler of sorts, the seed of all, who serves and governs

“Hallowed be Thy name, thy Kingdom come”;

The name to which all bows, I mean all, not some

The Kingdom of His rule; through which we become

“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”

Your will in up and down; in left and right, in us be home

“Give us this day our daily bread”

“And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us”.

Keep us fed; take the dread; help us spread

Make us white, make us fine; take the grime and the entire pus

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,”

By Your mighty hand, let the earth and all in it marvel

“For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory”,

The fullness thereof, to you, and at your mercy

“Forever and ever, Amen!”

Amen!

Amen!

  1. How refreshing it is to my spirit to see your deep and reflective writing again! I know I shall come back to these thoughts many times. There is much food for prayer and thought within them. Your writing is like a gourmet meal I slowly savour before digesting it, to get all of the richness and goodness from it.

  2. 🙂 Reading from you is always heartwarming. I find every word encouraging. Thank you Kevin.
