When The Healer Comes
In the trials of this life we need Christ the healer
When the road is rough
When we don’t know the way to go
How often do we do things in our own strength?
Failing to ask help from Christ the healer
God knows you like no other
You can come to Him whenever you need Him
You can ask His Son for help in the tough times
When the way to you is unclear
Thank you, Father, for Christ our healer
Jesus said in this life you’ll have much to overcome
There will be many times the Enemy attacks you
Darkness will try to make you believe lies
In those times believe the truth of who you are
You are fearfully and wonderfully made
You are the apple of God’s affection
You are loved with an everlasting love
Christ would have died for you if you were
the only person on this earth
Though there are times you feel He has abandoned you
He has never left you
He is there in every tear you cry
Every wrong thing you’ve done
Every hurt you feel
Every question you ask
Every doubt you have
Today and every day you can call upon Christ your healer
When you seek Him the door of hope will be opened unto you
Darkness can never win in the presence of God’s love
He loves you so much that, out of the substance of Himself,
He made Christ your healer
The choice lies with you the way you will go
You can follow the ways of this world
The temptations of the flesh
You can compromise your faith
You can gain the world and lose your soul
By choosing to deny Christ your healer
When Christ the healer comes don’t turn Him away
Open your wounded heart
All your pain
All of your anger to Him
He stands at the door and knocks
Will you let Him in?
Oh, how I pray you’ll welcome Christ your healer
Let the sunshine of His love live inside of you
Open your soul to Christ your healer
Sing for joy to Christ your healer
Spread the message all can know Christ their healer
Kevin Osborne is training to become a minister, psychotherapist and chaplain. He and his wife, Karen, plan to open a counselling practice. Karen enjoys doing cross-stitch. She makes me laugh when she sings the kitty bed-time song saying, “It’s that time. It’s the bestest kitty time of the day!” Karen is taking graduate divinity studies at Trinity College in the University of Toronto. Kevin is planning on taking graduate studies there. Karen is also planning on entering an M.A.-Ph.D. program through St. James the Elder Seminary majoring in Christian Psychology.
