Do you think darkness will win?

If so, I urge you to think again

Every time you help someone hope again love wins

Each time you smile to uplift a sad and lonely person love wins

When you love those who others deem unlovable love wins

When you care for the stranger love wins

When you spend time with the sick love wins

When you forgive those who hurt you love wins

When you don’t judge others because of their race, religion, beliefs or politics love wins

When you pray for politicians love wins

When you pray for and support your pastor love wins

The times you care more about others than yourself love wins

When you have compassion for the prostitute, convict, addict and the gambler love wins

When you offer a quality education and job to those with physical and/or developmental challenges and those with hidden ones, love wins

When you lift one person out of poverty love wins

In this world of ever-growing darkness and terror you can change the world by

Never giving up on those society rejects

Shining your light

When you do that LOVE will always win

Kevin and Karen Osborne are Christian pastoral counsellors and psychotherapists. We are starting You Can Hope Again Counselling. Karen enjoys doing cross-stitch while I like writing and singing songs. Karen makes me laugh when she sings the kitty bed-time song saying, “It’s that time. It’s the bestest kitty time of the day!” Kevin enjoys teasing the kitties and making them do kitty dances with music. Their kitty, Catherine, loves it when kitty daddeh sings All Creatures Great and SmallKevin likes doing impressions.  He tells children’s stories using his hand puppet, Dr. Teddy.

Our greatest calling is to be servants of our Lord wherever He calls us to go.

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

  1. Thank you Kevin!!! We need to be reminded of this on a daily basis. Because the world is going to get even more and more dark yet Scriptures tell us that they will know us by our love. We as believers need to begin to show this love instead of being wrapped up in world stuff. Thanks for the reminder…. Blessings to you and Karen.

    • You have been used by God to reveal more fully a truth. If we are too focused on world events, we will easily lose focus on loving others as Christ has called us to. That is where the Enemy wants us.We need to ask ourselves what gospel people are reading in our deeds and words. I know with all the terror and increasing darkness in this world it’s easy to tell others love always wins. It’s far more difficult to live the truth we profess. Father, help others to focus on watching less horrible news and focus on sharing the great news that You love both the believer and unbeliever. May others truly see we are Your people by Your self — Your compassion living and radiating out of us like rays of sunshine to gloomy hearts. Amen.
