Prayer for world peace

world peace

Almighty God, give us Your strength every day for whatever challenges we face. In hearing the news about how we live in a more terrifying world with North Korea showing they have the power to attack any country with an inter-ballistic missile, and the increasing threat of terrorism, this adds only more stress to already stress-filled lives.

Give discernment to government leaders as to how to end the threat of North Korea without loss of life. Have all trading partners with North Korea apply more economic sanctions to send Kim Jong-un and all who support him a message that their threats will no longer be tolerated. Remind all responsible for the barbaric murdering of others that You will hold them accountable for their actions. Proverbs 21: 12  says the righteous will bring the wicked to ruin. The wicked will face You as their judge. They will not escape punishment for their actions. They will experience an everlasting torment in hell far beyond the deaths they were responsible for here on this earth.

Hear the cries of Your people including that from a United Nations human rights investigator, for Kim Jong-un and all who support his murderous regime, to be tried for crimes against humanity. North Korean government leaders are denying the people of North Korea their basic right to food, many of them enslaved in work camps suffering malnutrition, while government elitists eat well, and live in comparative luxury.

Father, Kim Jong-un has killed many of his senior officers and government leaders who oppose him. You have to wonder about the sanity of a man who according to the Daily Star in the UK has had people killed for such mocked-up “crimes” as having a “bad attitude”, treachery and for slouching during a meeting. Kim Jong-un has the blood of at least 340 people on his hands, but most likely much more than that.

Your people cry out for justice. This evil man must be stopped. He is a threat to the pursuit of world peace.

We need to pass on the best kind of world we can to our children and our children’s children. To do any less than this would be to fail You and them.

Amen.

About osborne2029

I enjoy spending time with people just having a coffee or talking about life, philosophy, religion, politics or sharing a favorite joke or story. We learn from one another as we interact and share our joys, challenges and even our times of sadness. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and sharing in the blessing of community whether that is one on one or in groups. I'm married and am powned by two kitties named Sir William of Lounge a.k.a. Sir Lounge a Lot and Princess Catherine of Chaos a.k.a. Her Royal Highness Catherine of Englehart. I m in an M.A.-Ph.D program with St. James the Elder Theological Seminary to train to become a psychotherapist and priest. Let us pray for and reach out to each other with kindness, love and an embracing compassion. We can working together be servants with two open hands to those in need so that hate, indifference and inequality would lose and love will win. The peace and abounding joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
