Heart Cry

heart cry

Father, please hear our heart cry

There are times words we cannot speak

The pain drives too deep within

Peace we cannot find

Anger rises

Anxiety holds us captive

Stress increases

Causes us damage

Harms our physical and emotional health

Affects our relationships

Creates a distance between You, and those we love

A seething rage envelops us

We sin

We lose sight of You

We are trapped in false guilt

Darkness condemns us

Darkness tells us we are less than who we are

Darkness says because we have failed we are nothing

O, God, only You can hear us

Only You can set us free

Only Your love can heal the hurt

Mend the damage of broken relationships

Remove the distance between those we love

Lift us

Carry us

Hold us close to You

Draw us away from the darkness

The sin that seeks to consume us

You sent Your one and only Son

Your precious Son to set us free

He died that we would have life

That darkness would not win

That The Light of the world could be in us

The hope for all humankind

The compassion that we receive

when we say, “Lord, a sinner am I.

Forgive me for all my transgression

Hear my sin confession

I desire Your love to dwell within

O, Father, cleanse me from my sin

I ask for Your peace

For the sweet joy of sin’s release

Please set me free

Grant to me the gift of Your love from now into eternity.”

When you say a prayer like that

Mean it with all your heart

Watch the flow of healing love start

Bountiful blessings coming into your life

A new perspective in times of strife

Your circumstances may not always change

But the way you view them He’ll rearrange

Your life will no longer be the same

Because you made that heart cry

The call for a love that never does die

The eternal love of your Father Adonai

Kevin and Karen Osborne are psychotherapists and pastoral counsellors.  Kevin is studying to become a chaplain and professor of Psychology specializing in Pastoral Theology. Karen enjoys doing cross-stitch while I like writing and singing songs. Karen makes me laugh when she sings the kitty bed-time song saying, “It’s that time. It’s the bestest kitty time of the day!” Kevin enjoys teasing the kitties and making them do kitty dances with music. Their kitty, Catherine, loves it when kitty daddeh sings All Things Bright and Beautiful. Kevin likes doing impressions. He tells children’s stories and helps others with their problems using his hand puppet, Dr. Teddy, who is a therapy bear. He is a partner with us in our counselling practice. We are available to assist with worship and preaching to give busy pastors and ministers a much-needed break. We offer in-office, and phone counselling to anyone in the world.
