The joy William and Catherine bring
Catherine is our grey short-haired kitty. William is our brown tiger-striped kitty.
We have two kitties
One is William the Brave
From a bumble bee sting did he me save
He swatted at the bee with his front paws wounding him
I killed the bee on our kitchen window as it was getting ready to attack
That day I learned courage William does not lack
He protected me from an anaphylactic attack
The other kitty is Catherine, her royal highness of Ramore, northern Ontario
She is a lap kitty to Karen and me
Brings comfort when we are sick
Healing love with us she does her tongue lick
She is so different from her brother
Lets you know when her day is not going her way
With furrowed frown she does say
“Kitteh Daddeh, please take time to pet me
Say how much you luvs me.”
With William and Catherine we love to play
They put joy in our day
Sometimes, they are our furry kids
Get into all kinds of mischief
They fight with each other
Then, they say they’re sorry to each other
Act again like loving sister and brother
Lay with one another
William and Catherine are a gift we thank God for each day
Without words they say, “Kitteh Mommeh and Kitteh Daddeh,
we’ll luvs you come what may.”
