Father, create in us a love that speaks and listens to the suffering of others. Draw us closer to Your love. There is far too much hate in this world. Show us how we can best shine for You in lives filled with darkness and despair. Make us a more caring people. Forgive us when on the daily path of love we stumble, when we aren’t as kind, accepting of others and understanding as we could be.
Show us how we are a living letter we write upon people’s hearts. Every day we are left with the choice of what kind of letter that will be. Will it be one of life? Will it be one of death? Will it be one of anger? Will it be one of hate? Will it be one of forgiveness? Give us the wisdom to make the right choice of the letter we send out to others. Amen.
