Small Things Can Change A Life

Father, help me be a healer of wounded hearts

It’s often in the small things where compassion starts

A touch of the hand

A smile

A hug

A listening heart

A song

A cup of hot coffee shared in Your Name

Small acts of kindness are the best

They are the ones we should take time to invest

Offering our heart

That’s where healing love does start

Father, when we fall ill, give us strength to do Your will

Where love is darkness cannot kill

Give us time to be still

To see Calvary’s hill

To picture Christ on the cross

To reflect on why He came

To call people filled with hate to love

Give us more love inside

There does Your love abide

Show us how to give that love to the other

Treat everyone as our brother

Take time to care for one another

That’s the call of Your love

It’s what hurting lives can’t get enough of

It’s those small acts of compassion which can change a life

For in them is Your great love
