Christ the light of hope

This Christmas let us give to each other the gift of loving hearts. I pray this will be a meaningful time remembering the greatest gift our world was ever given– Love in the form of a vulnerable infant. We can theologize and say Christ wasn’t born on Christmas, but in arguing on the level of how many angels can dance on he head of a pin we lose something far more precious– that is the gift of love to all of us given 2,000 years ago in that crude stable manger in Bethlehem.

As you look into the star-filled sky, please take some time to remember that shining star that led the wise men to the place of Christ’s birth. It is the star of hope that can live within all of us. Hope that believes. Hope that cares. Hope that never dies because Christ’s hope lives in us, that the darkness cannot defeat.

Merry Christmas everyone!
