How would you end poverty?

set_martin_luther_king_quote time always right to do what is right

Do you believe that? It is always the right time to roll up our sleeves and do the difficult work of doing the right thing.

People ask; governments ask; you ask, “How can we end poverty?” I don’t know the full answer, but I think it begins with this – caring for one person at a time, and acting on the suffering you see. It ends by using the beautiful minds God gave us to come up with solutions to the problem. Many have already, but are we really listening to what they have to say, or are many saying by their inaction on solving poverty that it really doesn’t matter to them? Those who say the problem of poverty is not a top priority, can they look into the eyes of a child who is poor and say they don’t matter? Poverty will only truly begin to end as we all see that suffering soul and say, “Me voici.” – “Here I am.”
