ACTIVITIES:

Kindergarten:

Since my daughter is in kindergarten and our home is just across the school, every morning I have the opportunity to speak to kindergarten parents whose houses are far so they have to stay in school until class is finished. As vice president of the Parent-Teacher Association I managed to gather those parents who stay in school by utilizing the school library. We started off by discussing separation axiety experienced both by children and parents and later on talked about parenthood and raising kids in the Bible. As time passed we have tackled hard issues on our differences in religion and denomination, worship and practices.

Evangelism:

Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon I spend time in Cadiz City Public Plaza to do evangelism. I would approach people sitting on benches, ask them where they go to church and from there speak to them about my religious views.

Bible Studies:

On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday I go to Manapla City to do evangelism and house to house Bible Study. With the company of an old friend from Bible School, Jurome we hold Bible Study on several houses, most of them are his former churchmates, focusing on family worship and teaching them how to sing the psalms.

Recruitment:

Once a week I go to Bacolod City to meet up with friends from my former churches to continually discuss our differences and to answer their queries why I joined the covenanters.

Every month I travel to Iloilo City for a couple of days to meet with Airo and Joven for edification and also to see a bunch of friends from our Bible School.

Where we at right now in Western Visayas:

I would say that we are in the process of sowing seeds.

What’s next:

This school year I will be working with my wife, who is a senior high school teacher in reaching out to high school students in their school using the Shorter Catechism as lesson material.

When can we expect to see a congregation in Western Visayas:

For the past 12 months my focus was not only on setting up a congregation but also on recruiting pastors to be covenanters and I reckoned we were not ready for a congregation just yet. God willing we can finally set up a congregation in 6 months time.

Isaiah 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.
